SSW’s eagerness in showing pictures of the severe weather in Spain, also recovers important meteorological moments in our country. That’s the reason why we now show you the beginning of a waterspout that in the original size of the picture we can see how it touches water. It occurred in the coast of Palma de Mallorca (Ciudad Jardín). It is a phenomenon that now we tend to think it happens more often, but in fact, it has never been infrequent in this part of the Mediterranean sea. On this occasion the event that could be very dangerous for small boats, happened at 12:10 on 12th October 2006. We thank José Martín Fernandez for sending us this picture. | |
